Worked example
5/6 divided by 1/3
Answer: 5/2, or 2 1/2
How to solve it
Ask how many thirds fit into five sixths. One third is two sixths, so five sixths contains 5/2 such groups. The reciprocal calculation is 5/6 x 3/1 = 15/6 = 5/2.
